Why Nava
(and when it isn't)
Most Thai social sellers use one of four setups. This page compares them honestly. Who each fits, what breaks in it, and where Nava earns its place.
The four setups Thai sellers actually use
Zero tool cost
1. LINE + Excel by yourself
ข้อดี
- No extra cost
- Start immediately, no new tool to learn
- You control everything
ข้อเสีย
- You check every slip manually against your banking app
- Breaks past ~20–30 orders/day
- Repeat customers re-type their address every time
- Fake slips are hard to spot with the naked eye
Fit for: sellers doing 1–10 orders/day with time to check each
฿10,000–25,000/mo
2. Hire an assistant
ข้อดี
- Offloads chat + packing
- A second set of eyes on small decisions
- Makes sense when revenue covers the salary
ข้อเสีย
- High recurring cost (฿10k+)
- Training + quality control on you
- Assistant may need access to your banking app. Risky at separation
- Manual slip checking still happens, just by a different human
Fit for: shops with steady ฿150k+/mo revenue where the owner wants time back
3–15% commission on GMV
3. Go to a custodial marketplace
ข้อดี
- Built-in customer traffic
- End-to-end payment + shipping
- No SEO/ads needed at first
ข้อเสีย
- Commission bites forever. Kills margins at scale
- Customers belong to the platform, not you
- Money sits in the platform's account first, paid out later
- Account suspended = business stops that day
- Racing to the bottom on price against every other shop
Fit for: new shops that need the platform's traffic (as a side channel)
from ฿299/mo · no GMV cut
4. Use a back-office (Nava)
ข้อดี
- Money to your account directly, no intermediary
- Auto slip verification against real bank data
- Customer history is yours, exportable anytime
- All channels in one inbox
- Staff can help but can't change PromptPay settings
- No commission. Pay the same as you scale
ข้อเสีย
- from ฿299/mo tool cost (not free like #1)
- Requires a bank account with PromptPay linked
- No Shopee / Lazada integration yet
Fit for: chat-first shops (LINE, FB, IG) doing 15+ orders/day who want to stop checking slips by hand
Who Nava is NOT for (honestly)
Shopee/Lazada is your main channel
If 80%+ of your revenue comes from a marketplace, that platform's tools already handle it. Nava's chat-side value doesn't justify the tool cost at that mix.
1–5 orders per week
If selling is still a hobby, LINE + a notebook is cheaper. Come back to Nava when it becomes a business.
You need someone to answer chat 24/7
Nava doesn't reply to customers for you. Nava runs the back office. Orders, QR, slips, customers. Chat responses still need a human (you or staff).
You need full accounting + tax software
Nava tracks orders and revenue. It's not accounting software. For tax filings and financial statements, pair Nava with dedicated accounting.
How to decide
If you sell little, do it by hand first. If you sell in chat a lot and fake slips hurt, try Nava. If you want a platform to own the customer and take a cut, go to a marketplace. If you want to pay a salary, hire someone.
There's no best option. There's only the option that fits where your shop is right now.
