AI at Nava: it writes things down, the shop decides

Nava uses AI for the most time-consuming part of selling in chat: reading the conversation and writing the order down. The money, the goods and the decisions always stay with the shop. This page says plainly what the AI does, what it never does, and where chat messages go.

This English version is a translation provided for convenience. The Thai version is the legally binding text; if the two differ, the Thai version prevails. Questions: support@navaseller.com.

1. AI-drafted orders from chat (every plan)

When a buyer orders in a LINE chat (Facebook Messenger is coming), the AI reads the messages and drafts the order: product, size, colour, quantity, name, phone and address. The shop reviews it and confirms it every time, before any bill is sent to the buyer.

When the AI isn't sure, for example the buyer is still bargaining, hasn't given an address, or asked to cancel, the draft is marked "needs review" for the shop to check first. A plain question never becomes a draft.

AI drafts are never sent to the buyer. The shop can change any field before confirming, and those corrections help later drafts get better.

2. AI sales assistant (Pro plan, off until the shop turns it on)

When a shop turns it on, the assistant answers buyers in the shop's chat, helps pick a size, builds the cart and sends the bill when the buyer confirms. It uses only the products, options and prices the shop has set in Nava. The AI never invents a product name or a price.

If a buyer asks something the assistant can't answer, it stays quiet and leaves the reply to the shop. The shop can turn the assistant off at any time in settings.

The assistant replies on the shop's behalf, through the shop's chat account. Its first reply in each chat says it is the shop's automatic assistant; the shop can turn that line off in the assistant settings.

3. What is not decided by AI

Slip checking is not AI. Nava checks each slip against real bank data through a slip-verification provider and matches the amount to the bill exactly. A reused slip is refused. If a slip can't be checked, the order stays "awaiting payment".

Automatically confirmed payments (Pro plan, turned on by the shop) follow fixed rules, not AI judgement: only when the bank confirms the slip was paid into this shop's PromptPay, the amount matches to the satang, the slip hasn't been used before, the transfer came after the bill, and the bill was sent in that same chat. If any check fails, the shop decides.

4. What Nava's AI never does

  • It never confirms a payment by guessing.
  • It never changes the shop's PromptPay number (only the owner can).
  • It never holds buyers' money: payments go straight to the shop's PromptPay.
  • It never ships for the shop or creates shipping labels by itself.
  • It never sets prices or offers products the shop doesn't have in Nava.
  • It never replies to buyers for the shop unless the shop turned the sales assistant on.

5. Where chat messages go

To draft an order, Nava sends only the chat messages of that purchase (which may include a name, phone number and address the buyer typed) to its AI provider. No images are sent, including slip images. The shop's product names are sent only when matching a product.

The main provider is Anthropic (Claude models). Under Anthropic's terms, data sent through the API is not used to train models, is deleted within 30 days and is stored in the United States.

If Anthropic is unavailable, the system retries later and never sends the chat anywhere else by itself. Only in a long outage may Nava switch on a backup provider (DeepSeek, which stores data in China), and it will say so in the privacy policy every time.

Inside Nava, personal data in AI drafts is deleted automatically after 30 days. The full detail is in the privacy policy, sections 5 and 9.

People at Nava read a shop's chats only if the shop owner switches on "Help check the AI" in Settings → Account. Then the team can read only chats from after it was switched on, where the AI drafted an order or where an order was made that the AI didn't draft, for up to 30 days, to check whether the AI got it right or missed it. Every view is logged, names, phones and addresses aren't copied anywhere else, and switching it off stops access at once.

6. How accurate it is (honestly)

In a test set of 160 Thai chat conversations (tested 2026-10-26), the AI drafted exactly the right product and option in 153, and added a wrong item to a question-only chat 0 times.

The test set is made of realistic chats our team wrote from real selling patterns, not yet chats from real shops. We will measure again on real chats from the first shops and update the numbers here. This is why the shop always confirms.
